Privacy policy

Japan Vilene Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "the Company") has established a privacy policy (hereinafter referred to as "the Policy") as follows regarding the handling of personal information of people (hereinafter referred to as "Users") from whom the Company acquires personal information.

  1. Personal Information

  5. Entrustment of Handling of Personal Information
    The Company may entrust the handling of personal data, in whole or in part, to the extent necessary to achieve the Purpose of Use. In this case, the Company fully examines the eligibility as an outsourcee, stipulates the items related to the obligation of confidentiality in the contract, and conducts necessary and appropriate supervision of the outsourcee.
  6. Shared use of personal information
    The Company may share personal data of Users to the extent necessary to achieve the Purpose of Use with the following scope and purpose.

  7. Disclosure of Personal Information

  8. Correction of Retained Personal Data, etc.
    1. In the event that the personal information held by the Company is incorrect, the Users may request to correct, add, or delete such personal information (hereinafter referred to as "Correction").
    2. Upon receipt of the request set forth in the preceding paragraph, the Company shall conduct necessary investigations without delay, and in the event that the Company determines that the request set forth in the preceding paragraph is well-grounded as a result thereof, the Company shall conduct Correction without delay.
    3. In the event that the Company determines that Corrections will be implemented or not implemented pursuant to the provisions of the preceding clause, the Company shall notify the Users thereof without delay.
  9. Suspension of Use of Personal Information, etc.
    1. Users may request the Company to discontinue using, delete, or discontinue providing to a third party the personal data held by the Company (hereinafter referred to as "Suspension of Use").
    2. Upon receipt of the request set forth in the preceding paragraph, the Company shall conduct necessary investigations without delay, and in the event that the Company determines that the request set forth in the preceding paragraph is well-grounded as a result thereof, the Company shall conduct Suspension of Use of such personal data. Provided, however, that in cases where it is difficult to conduct of Suspension of Use or it requires a significant amount of cost or in other cases, and where necessary alternative measures are possible to be taken to protect the rights and interests of Users, such alternative measures shall be taken.
    3. The Company will notify Users without delay of any decision on the implementation or non-implementation of Suspension of Use, etc. in accordance with the preceding clause.
  10. Compliance with Laws and Regulations
    The Company will comply with the laws and regulations of Japan applicable to our personal information.
  11. Response to Complaints and Consultations
    The Company accepts complaints and inquiries from Users regarding the handling of personal information and responds appropriately and promptly. The Company will also respond promptly and appropriately to requests from Users for disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, use, or refusal to provide personal information.
  12. Security Control Measures
    The Company will take measures to prevent unauthorized access to personal information, loss, destruction, falsification, and leakage of personal information by taking organizational, physical, human, and technical measures, such as implementing restrictions on access to personal information files, recording access logs, and implementing security measures to prevent unauthorized access from outside. In the event of an accident such as a leak of Users personal information, the Company shall promptly report to the competent authorities in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act and related guidelines of Japan and shall take necessary measures to prevent the recurrence of similar incidents in accordance with the instructions of the competent authorities.
